Initial Meeting
Your Control4 Home Automation system starts with you. It’s important that the project is designed with your personal requirements at its core. Our first meeting and site survey is an opportunity to find out about your needs, and to discuss how your life could be simpler, easier and safer. We can then verbally offer our opinion and recommendations on what the best equipment and installation strategy would be.
Quotation Proposal
Following the initial meeting, we will prepare a written quotation. This will show your requirements as a breakdown of the equipment and materials required, as well as the installation costs. Your quotation, like your system, will be modular, allowing you to see clearly the costs and benefits of each feature and enabling you to add, change or remove pieces to suit you.
Integration with Additional Trades
Whilst your home is controlled via your Control4 system, this must coordinate with the rest of your home environment. SEA Audio Visual will ensure every element of your smart home can communicate by working closely with your Architects, Builders, Electricians, Heating Engineers and Interior Designers, to aid in the smooth running of the project and seamless completion.
First Fix
Once the system design has been accepted and a start date agreed, all of the necessary cabling for the first fix can be installed into the property and tested. This happens in unison with your other trades to minimise the mess and fuss.
Second Fix
The next step of the process is to install all the equipment necessary to complete the project. Everything is checked to ensure that the system is functioning correctly and programmed to your requirements.
Handover & After Care
Your project is complete, not just once the equipment has been installed, but also after you have ‘lived’ with it for a little while. We understand that there may be minor things you would like to fine-tune or revisit once you’ve had chance to experience your system first-hand. Handover is not complete until you are happy with the installation. We are always there to provide additional support, or add any further services that you may find useful. Control4 systems are modular and they can be upgraded at any time. It’s important to us that your system is designed from the outset to grow which could mean pre-installing cables into rooms in the first fix stage to minimise any mess or upheaval later on.
